I arrived in Honolulu today and found this fantastic mid century modern IBM building designed by the late architect Vladimir Ossipoff in 1962.
I had to get some shots of it for my portfolio and stock files.

I got a chance to walk through the Mauna Kea Beach Hotel on the Kohala coast of Hawaii.
The hotel was financed by Laurance S. Rockefeller and designed by the architecture firm of Skidmore, Owings and Merrill. The hotel opened in 1965 with an open air design that allowed natural ventilation from the trade winds. It was one of the most expensive hotels of the time.
The hotel and beach are really wonderful and are a must see if you visit the big island.
Last week I shot another food assignment for Caesars at Payard restaurant. We shot five dishes that will be used for hotel advertising. The steak looked absolutely scrumptious!
I was hired by the home office in New York to photograph interiors of the new John Varvatos store inside the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. My favorite part of the store was this section with the vintage stereos and albums. It really brought me back to my childhood growing up in L.A.
The store has a great feel and vibe with lots of classic rock memorabilia on the walls..
Shortly after the shoot I ended up buying the Mcintosh receiver on the top shelf in this room. This was the beginning of my addiction to Mcintosh stereo equipment.
I’m proud to have two of my images of Jaleo restaurant at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas published in the April issue of Interior Design magazine.
I photographed the restaurant for both Think Food Group and The Rockwell Group, who designed the space.
