I had the pleasure of photographing interiors of the newly redesigned Skyfall lounge and Rivea restaurant at the Delano in Las Vegas for my client Gensler Architects. The lounge and restaurant was formerly called Mix. They made some really nice changes to the space.
Capturing the newly updated interiors was an exciting opportunity to highlight the modern upgrades while preserving the atmosphere that made the original venue so iconic. As a professional specializing in interior design photography and architectural photography, my focus was to convey the sophistication and energy of both spaces through carefully composed images.
The redesign by Gensler Architects incorporated refined textures, ambient lighting, and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip, creating a luxurious yet approachable environment. Photographing this type of interior required special attention to the natural lighting during different times of the day. Balancing the deep colors of the lounge with the brilliant exterior skyline views presented a rewarding technical challenge.
Shooting at the Delano provided an added advantage, with its reputation for high-end design and premium hospitality experiences. Projects like Skyfall Lounge and Rivea are excellent examples of how thoughtful architecture and interior design can transform spaces and elevate guest experiences.
In projects like this, storytelling through images becomes just as important as technical accuracy. Each photograph needed to highlight not only the architectural updates but also the atmosphere and functionality of the redesigned spaces. Great interior photography connects viewers emotionally to a place even before they visit.
Capturing the new character of the lounge and restaurant through photography helps design firms like Gensler showcase their visionary work to future clients and design publications. High-quality architectural interior photography not only documents the finished project but also supports branding, awards submissions, and ongoing marketing efforts.
